Outstanding Technology Team

AIR SERVICES, web-based permit and emissions reporting system was a semi-finalist for the 2009 TechColumbus "Outstanding Technology Team" award. Congratulations to Mettler-Toledo, Inc., the winner in the category for their innovative "Weigh in motion" technology that allows freight trucks to be weighed as they pass weigh stations at up to 50 miles per hour. Weigh in motion not only makes the roads safer by ensuring freight does not exceed payload weight requirements, it also eliminates truck idling at weigh stations, thus improving air quality.
