About DDAGW

The Division of Drinking and Ground Waters ensures compliance with the federal Safe Drinking Water Act and evaluates potential threats to source waters that supply Ohio’s more than 5,000 public drinking water systems. The division has a lead role for statewide ground water protection in cooperation with other state and federal agencies, implements a ground water quality monitoring program, and provides technical assistance to the agency's waste management divisions.

Free Operator Certification Exams for Small Water System Operators

In 2010, Ohio EPA will be using a portion of its U.S. EPA expense reimbursement grant to offer FREE exams to operators taking the Class A, Class I and Class II Water Supply examinations.  Any individual with a high school diploma or the equivalent may apply to take the above referenced examinations free of charge. Both application and examination fees will be waived. Exam applications must be submitted by the posted application deadline. The purpose of the expense reimbursement grant is to assist in the training and certification of operators for small public water systems.

Get a copy of the exam application, information on exam dates and deadlines or visit the operator certification Web site for more information.  Note:  this offer is not applicable to Distribution, Collection or Wastewater Treatment examinations.
