April 10, 2017 Euclid Receiving Financing from Ohio EPA for Sewer Plant Construction
Euclid will improve water quality in Lake Erie by constructing a new treatment system at the city’s wastewater treatment plant with help from a $65.2 million low-interest loan from Ohio EPA. The additional treatment capacity will help prevent sewer overflows into Lake Erie.
April 6, 2017 Barberton Receiving Financing from Ohio EPA to Install Sanitary Sewers and a Pump System
Barberton will improve water quality in the Upper Tuscarawas River Watershed by constructing new sewers and a pump station in the Nash Heights subdivision, city of Norton. Part of the $8.4 million project will include a $4.6 million low-interest loan from Ohio EPA.
April 6, 2017 Geneva to Improve Drinking Water System with Financing from Ohio EPA
Geneva has received a low-interest loan of nearly $606,000 from Ohio EPA to repair deteriorating water lines that have a history of breaks and water loss in the distribution system.
March 28, 2017 Warren to Improve Sewer System with Financing from Ohio EPA
Warren has received a low-interest loan (approximately $1.6 million) from Ohio EPA to fund the High Street overflow planning project. Once the study and resulting projects have been completed, the changes to Warren’s sewer system will improve water quality in the Ohio River watershed.
March 27, 2017 Chardon Receiving Financing from Ohio EPA for Sanitary Sewer Improvements
Chardon aims to improve water quality in Lake Erie by obtaining funding from Ohio EPA for a design loan. This Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) low-interest loan will allow the community to develop a plan to remedy undersized sewers. The additional treatment capacity also will help prevent sanitary sewer overflows into Lake Erie.
March 20, 2017 Willoughby to Improve Sewer System with Financing from Ohio EPA
Willoughby has received a nearly $4.5 million low-interest loan from Ohio EPA to work on the Quentin Road equalization basin. The project will upgrade Willoughby’s sewer system while improving water quality in Lake Erie.

Ohio EPA has issued a Water Quality Certification for the Rover pipeline to be built in Crawford, Seneca, Hancock, Wood, Henry, Defiance, Fulton, Ashland, Noble, Monroe, Harrison, Carroll, Tuscarawas, Stark, Wayne, Richland, Belmont and Jefferson counties.

Ohio EPA will hold a public hearing to accept comments regarding new or revised beneficial use designations for streams in in the Central Ohio tributaries drainage basin. Designations being proposed for updates are in Ohio’s eastern counties and drain to the Ohio River.
