Converting hardscapes to pervious pavement helps improve the water quality in runoff. More than 450 students from kindergarten through second grade will benefit from a five-month program for elementary teachers through Ohio State University. The Kindling Investigation and Discovery in Science and Social Studies program will provide professional development to 20 teachers and help them integrate Ohio’s learning standards in science and social studies.
