The Ohio Legislature amended Ohio Revised Code Chapter 6109, adopting new requirements related to lead and copper for public water systems and certified laboratories. The new requirements charge Ohio EPA with reviewing standards for lead and copper monitoring, requiring more timely public notification of monitoring results, and ensuring public water systems optimize corrosion control treatment. The following web links address some of the recent changes, direct public water systems to required reporting forms, and provide additional resources.
Note: Water systems may contact Ohio EPA's Office of Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention at (800) 329-7518 for help with mapping questions.
