The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), also known as the federal stimulus bill, was signed into law on February 17, 2009.  The Ohio Water Pollution Control Loan Fund has been designated to deliver approximately $220.6 million of the stimulus funds for water pollution control projects.  Ohio EPA has received over 2,100 proposals requesting $5.4 billion via Ohio’s federal stimulus web site at www.Recovery.Ohio.gov.

In keeping with federal law, Ohio EPA is applying to U.S. EPA for funds to be awarded as grants and loans.  The funds will be distributed as soon as possible to fundable projects for the creation and retention of jobs through the construction of needed water pollution control infrastructure.
