Small Sanitary Discharges That Cannot Meet BADCT Standards

This permit covers existing sanitary treatment discharges that are not currently meeting Best Available Demonstrated Control Technology (BADCT) treatment standards. The permit includes a compliance schedule requiring operators to upgrade their treatment systems to meet BADCT standards within three (3) years of obtaining coverage under the permit.

The BADCT standards apply to the following parameters: Dissolved Oxygen, Biochemical Oxygen Demand, Total Suspended Solids, Ammonia, Fecal Coliform and Residual Chlorine.

Facilities may not renew coverage under this permit, but must either submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) for coverage under general permit OHS000003, or submit an individual application to the appropriate district office.
