Ohio EPA Schedules Meeting to Discuss Odor Concerns
Ohio EPA has scheduled an Oct. 28, 2014, community meeting to update residents on efforts to identify and eliminate nuisance odors originating from Detrex Corporation located at 1100 State Road in Ashtabula Township. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Blue and Gold Room at Kent State University Ashtabula Campus, 3300 Lake Road West, Ashtabula.

Ohio EPA Seeks Public’s Help to Nab Nature Preserve Dumper
Eleven containers containing paint, sealer and oil wastes were dumped beside Irwin Prairie State Nature Preserve in Lucas County in late September. Ohio EPA is seeking assistance from anyone who may have seen activity at the dump site or know the person or people who dumped the material. read more
Ohio EPA Hosting Meeting about Middletown Energy Center Permit
Ohio EPA has issued a draft air permit for the construction of Middletown Energy Center. Ohio EPA and the Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency will hold a public information session and hearing on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, to explain the draft permit and accept public comments. read more
