Kilgore Farm Site 600 N. Spring Road Westerville, Ohio 43082
The Kilgore Farm site is located at 600 North Spring Road, Westerville, Ohio. The facility closed operations in 1962, and the property was donated to Otterbein University. Otterbein University has investigated the site on numerous occasions since acquiring the property. As a result of the multiple investigations, eight areas of concern (AOC) have been identified at the site.
Otterbein University, the United States of America Department of Defense and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) have negotiated a consent decree which states the responsibilities in the investigation and remediation of the site. Judge George Smith, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio, signed the consent decree on April 30, 2012.
