After March 23, our district offices and Central Office will be temporarily closed and will have increasingly limited ability to receive deliveries, plans, etc. All entities are encouraged to submit plans, permit applications, etc., electronically where there are existing avenues to do so, such as eBiz. Please refer to the list of available services on the main eBiz webpage. We encourage you to make use of all that apply, even if you have not used eBiz in the past. Plans under 25 MB can be emailed. For large plans over 25 MB, entities should work with the reviewer/division to upload via LiquidFiles. Directions for submitting docs via LiquidFiles is available on YouTube. These changes incorporate a new law that ensures homeowners get the timely public notice they deserve whenever high levels of lead are found in drinking water.

ARCO Site Cleanup Complete
The pile of more than 300,000 cubic yards of illegally disposed construction and demolition debris waste at the ARCO Recycling site has been removed following an eight-month cleanup. The more than $8.8 million cleanup was paid for by Ohio EPA and done in cooperation with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, the city of East Cleveland, the Cleveland Division of Air Quality and the Cuyahoga County Executive’s Office.

Ohio EPA is accepting public comments at a March 7, 2018, public meeting on a draft air emissions permit for a natural gas-fired electric generating facility. Harrison Power LLC plans to build the plant in the Harrison Industrial Park in Cadiz.

Ohio EPA Issues Permit for Toledo Iron Briquette Manufacturer
Ohio EPA issued a final air emissions permit-to-install today for IronUnits, a proposed iron briquette manufacturing facility in Toledo. The permit allows the company to build the plant at the former Ironville Terminal on Front Street and Millard Avenue in East Toledo.
