August 4, 2021 Ohio EPA Selects 2021 Environmental Scholarship Winners
Nine environmental science and engineering students have been awarded scholarships through Ohio EPA’s Environmental Education Fund to study at Ohio colleges and universities. Students were selected based on academic performance, as well as research, employment/internships, leadership, letters of recommendation from education or environmental professionals, and other specified criteria.
July 28, 2021 Ohio EPA Grants $1.2 Million for Recycling and Litter Prevention in Central Ohio
Ohio EPA is awarding more than $1.2 million this year in grants to 18 local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations throughout central Ohio to implement recycling, litter prevention, market development, and scrap tire recycling programs. Statewide, the Agency is issuing more than $6 million in grant funding to 103 recipients, with $269,766 specifically for community and litter prevention programs.

January 13, 2021 Ohio EPA, ODOT Award Diesel Emission Reduction Grants for Public Transit
The Ohio Diesel Emissions Reduction Grant (DERG) Program has awarded eight grants totaling almost $10 million for replacing 40 aging diesel transit buses with newer, cleaner diesel or alternative fuel technology. Twenty-three of the buses will be powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), nine by propane, and eight by new cleaner diesel technology.
