July 28, 2021 Ohio EPA Grants $1.5 Million for Recycling and Litter Prevention to Northwest Ohio
Ohio EPA is awarding more than $1.5 million this year in grants to 23 local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations throughout northwest Ohio to implement recycling, litter prevention, market development, and scrap tire recycling programs. Statewide, the Agency is issuing more than $6 million in grant funding to 103 recipients, with more than $3.1 million specifically for community and litter prevention grants.

Ohio EPA has approved a permit to expand Toledo’s Hoffman Road Landfill. The expansion will extend the life of the landfill to approximately 83.5 years based on current average daily waste receipts of 611 tons a day.
