Ohio Lake Erie Commission to Hold Quarterly Meeting
The Ohio Lake Erie Commission will hold its next quarterly meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held through a virtual format, and the public can register to participate here.
Individuals participating may submit comments during the public comment portion of the meeting. There also will be a phone line available for participants to have the option to speak during the public comment period. To attend this online meeting, participants will need to register in advance.
The Commission will be providing information about the Great Lakes Protection Fund and Lake Erie Program updates.
All Commission meetings are open to the public and include a public comment period.
The Ohio Lake Erie Commission was established for the purpose of preserving Lake Erie's natural resources, protecting the quality of its waters and ecosystem, and promoting economic development in the region. The director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) serves as the commission's chairman. Additional members include the directors of the state departments of Transportation, Health, Development Services, Agriculture, Natural Resources, and seven additional members of the public appointed by the governor.
