Ohio Lake Erie Commission to Hold Quarterly Meeting
The Ohio Lake Erie Commission will hold its next quarterly meeting on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at Kent State University – Ashtabula Campus, Blue/Gold Room, 3300 Lake Road W, Ashtabula, OH.
Individuals participating may submit comments during the public comment portion of the meeting.
The Commission will discuss Lake Erie program progress, accomplishments on the Ashtabula River, and updates on Commission business.
All Commission meetings are open to the public and include a public comment period. Attendees are expected to follow the rules of the building, which has mask/distancing requirements.
The Ohio Lake Erie Commission was established for the purpose of preserving Lake Erie's natural resources, protecting the quality of its waters and ecosystem, and promoting economic development in the region. The director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) serves as the commission's chairman. Additional members include the directors of the state departments of Transportation, Health, Development Services, Agriculture, Natural Resources, and seven additional members of the public appointed by the governor.
