Ohio EPA Offering Grant Writing Workshop in Parma and Batavia
Business leaders, nonprofit representatives and educators who are interested in learning more about Ohio EPA’s Environmental Education grants, other funding resource ideas and the do’s/don’ts of grant writing are encouraged to register for free grant writing workshops. Ohio EPA is offering the free, two-part, one-day training sessions to help would-be applicants decide which grants work for their organizations and how to write a winning grant proposal.

The Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District will use a storm sewer retrofit project in Bechtold Park to help public officials learn about more effective storm water management technologies. The project is supported by a $49,513 Ohio EPA Environmental Education grant. It is one of four grant recipients statewide totaling $168,458.

The Ohio State University Extension Office in Hancock County will use a $38,500 Ohio EPA Environmental Education grant to educate farmers about the environmentally preferable method of incorporating liquid manure to fertilize growing crops. Alternative Fuels Vehicle Conversion Grants Still Available
Ohio EPA is offering one-time funding to help municipalities, schools and businesses convert diesel-powered heavy-duty fleet vehicles to run on cleaner burning alternative fuels. Fifteen grants have been awarded so far with $2.2 million still available.
