Ohio EPA Grants $1.1 Million for Recycling and Litter Prevention in Southwest Ohio
Ohio EPA is awarding more than $1.1 million this year in grants to 24 local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations throughout southwest Ohio to implement recycling, litter prevention, market development, and scrap tire recycling programs. Statewide, the Agency is issuing more than $6 million in grant funding to 103 recipients, with more than $3.1 million specifically for community and litter prevention grants.

The Buckeye State Investing in a Sustainable Recycling System
COLUMBUS, OH (May 14, 2019) – The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA), solid waste management districts (SWMDs), material recovery facilities (MRFs), haulers, Ohio communities and The Recycling Partnership (The Partnership) are coming together to tackle the issue of non-recyclable trash in recycling by investing in education and outreach in pilot areas around the state.
